Lucky Light Photo School

Lucky Light or "sweet light" is a term used by photographers to describe the wonderful warm light that occurs at sunrise and sunset. Our school is built on the premise that we may as well photograph when the light is at its best.

Therefore our school begins with an in-gallery talk about such topics as the camera and its controls, film, ASA/ISO, depth of field, composition and colour. This instruction is followed with two afternoon/evening guided sessions in the natural area. We time the schools to take advantage of the warm light for best photo opportunities. We try to make our schools fun as well as educational. Peter our resident photographer asks that you bring your camera, a tripod and a couple of jokes to class. Registration is limited to four people so that we may get around easily with enough time for everyone. Depending on the weather we may travel by boat to an island in Georgian Bay providing everyone is comfortable. We usually plan our school on weekends but can arrange weekday sessions upon request.
